Eva Karayiannis lives in Kensington, West London with her husband Akis and their three children, Chloe, Kiki and Aris (eldest daughter, Chloe, is now studying in America). She founded Caramel Baby & Child in 1999, and has recently launched Caramel Homewares. She now has stores in New York, Singapore, Japan as well as Notting Hill, West London.
Perched on a cliff edge on the island of Kea, not far from the main port of the island, is where Eva decided to built this beautiful holiday home. At first glance, the house looks like a typical architectural island retreat. But from close up its clean lines give off an incredible modern space. Its large windows throughout lends a hand to the blue ocean back-drop; polished concrete floors and white washed walls, this house exudes and sense of calm and relaxation. Pared down & simple living areas with furniture by european designer Paola Navone and British designer Terence Conran, a hint of vintage flair, 60s armchairs, antique finds often seen in Victorian homes blend harmoniously together. Fabrics in earthy tones, warm colour palette of whites, greys and oatmeal give this house a sense of luxury but a warm and inviting atmosphere. This beautiful holiday retreat is the epitome of pure relaxation.
